Labour peer’s involvement in apparent cash-for-access venture exposed – video

An undercover Guardian investigation has revealed that a Labour member of the House of Lords, David Evans of Watford, offered access to ministers during discussions about a commercial deal worth tens of thousands of pounds. Lord Evans was recorded explaining to undercover reporters – who were posing as property developers looking to lobby the government – about how to approach Angela Rayner, the deputy prime minister and housing secretary.
