Childcare costs in the US are soaring, and families are under increasing financial stress. We want to hear from you

Childcare is one of the biggest expenses for families – often surpassing what they pay for rent.

In Washington DC, for example, the average annual cost of infant care tops $24,000, according to the Economic Policy Institute, more than a quarter of the median family income and more than three-quarters of a full-time minimum wage salary there. It’s also nearly five times the price of public in-state college tuition.
